SlotWise Delivery Date & Time
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
SlotWise Delivery Date & Time (“SlotWise”, “the app”) is a Shopify app that lets a store's shoppers choose a delivery date and time at checkout and, if the merchant wishes, pay a delivery fee for it. It is operated by Muhammad Faizan, Surrey, British Columbia, Canada(“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app does with data. Contact: support@faizanweb.com.
The short version
- We do not collect or store shoppers' names, email addresses, phone numbers or street addresses.
- For each scheduled order we keep only the order ID, the order number, the chosen delivery date and the chosen time slot.
- We never sell data, share it for advertising, or use it for profiling or marketing.
What we collect and why
From merchants (store owners).
- The store's Shopify domain, its time zone, and the access token Shopify gives the app, so the app can work in the store.
- The settings the merchant enters: time slots and fees, delivery areas (postal code prefixes), holiday fees, closed dates, colours and wording.
- Optionally, an email address the merchant chooses to be notified of new scheduled orders.
- The plan (Free or Pro). Payments are handled entirely by Shopify's billing; we never see card details.
From shoppers (the merchant's customers).
- When a shopper picks a delivery date and time, the choice is saved on their cart by Shopify, and then on their order in Shopify. If the merchant uses delivery areas, the shopper types a postal code so the app can check the area; it stays with the order in Shopify. The app does not store it.
- When an order is placed, Shopify tells the app. The app reads only the order ID, order number and the delivery date and time. It does not read or store the customer's name, email, phone number or address. We store the order ID, order number, delivery date and delivery time so the merchant can see upcoming deliveries and so a time slot can be limited to a set number of orders.
- The app may add tags to the order (for example “Delivery 2026-12-24” and “Slot 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM”) so the merchant can filter their orders. These tags contain no personal data.
On the storefront, the app uses the browser's session storage to remember the shopper's chosen date during their visit and to cache the store's settings. It does not use tracking cookies, analytics or advertising tools.
Who we share data with
We use these service providers only to run the app:
- Shopify (the platform the app runs on, and its billing).
- Railway (hosting and the database; servers in the United States).
- Resend (email delivery), only if the merchant turns on notification emails. The email contains the order number and the delivery date and time, and goes to the address the merchant entered.
We do not sell data, and we do not share it with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
How long we keep data
- Scheduled-order records (order ID, order number, delivery date and time) are deleted automatically after 18 months (548 days).
- When Shopify tells us a customer's data must be erased, we delete the matching records.
- About 48 hours after a merchant uninstalls the app, Shopify tells us to erase the store's data, and we delete everything we hold for that store.
- Merchants can also use the “Remove delivery fee products” button before uninstalling, to remove the hidden products the app created.
Security
All traffic to and from the app uses HTTPS. The database is on a private network and is not open to the public internet, and access is limited to the operator. Secrets are kept in the hosting provider's encrypted settings, not in the code. The hosting provider encrypts stored data at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to hold as little data as possible.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under Canada's PIPEDA, the EU/UK GDPR or California's CCPA), you may have the right to ask what data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its use. Because the app stores no personal details about shoppers, a shopper's request is best sent to the store they bought from, which holds their order. You can also email us at support@faizanweb.com and we will respond within 30 days. We handle Shopify's customer data request and erasure requests automatically.
Children
The app is for merchants and is not directed at children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. If a change is significant, we will tell merchants in the app.
